Discipline & Investigations
If you are facing any form of discipline or investigation, you should contact a Union representative as early as possible.
Union involvement helps ensure:
Your contractual and statutory rights are protected
Proper procedures and timelines are followed
You receive guidance before responding to management
In many cases, employees have the right to submit an oral and/or written reply before discipline is finalized. Union representatives can assist in preparing and presenting those responses and advocating for fair consideration.
If you are contacted by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), or management regarding a disciplinary matter, do not proceed alone—contact a Union representative immediately.
Early Union involvement can make a meaningful difference in ensuring fair process, accurate documentation, and appropriate outcomes.
